Architectural Associate

Merriman Holt Powell Architects (MHPA) is seeking an Architectural Associate with 0-3 years of experience. We are looking for a growth-minded candidate with excellent design skills who is team-oriented and has strong communication abilities.

Merriman Holt Powell is a Houston-based architecture firm located in the Highland Village area. We specialize in master planning and architectural services for community-based projects with a particular focus on working with churches and schools. Position Responsibilities: 

Assist with the design, documentation, and construction phase activities for our projects by working closely with other MHP staff, client committees, contractors, vendors, and trade partners. We are seeking a talented, thoughtful, team-oriented candidate with strong design abilities.

Desired Qualifications:

·         0-3 years of professional experience in architecture.

·         Excellent design skills, with strong creative abilities and attention to detail.

·         Strong communication and organizational skills.

·         Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team.

·         Proficiency with Sketchup and Revit is preferred but not required, along with experience with Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office.
