Facility Programming and Consulting is seeking an architectural programmer to assist in the creation of facility programs of requirements, space analyses, and master plan support analysis. We are a specialty consulting that specializes in projects for higher education, municipalities, K-12, and government facilities. Document creation, independent thinking, and collaborative interaction are critically important elements of this position.
Previous experience independently performing similar functions is highly desirable, however, this position will offer opportunities for training and professional development in the tasks listed below.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
· Develop facility programs, space needs assessments, and planning reports
· Conduct and analyze stakeholder engagement through surveys, interviews, and workshops
· Create functional diagrams, utilization studies, personnel forecasts, space inventories, and benchmarks
· Collaborate with internal and external teams to guide project vision and strategy
· Prepare professional deliverables using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
· Knowledge and ability to use analytical and problem-solving techniques, including extreme attention to detail
· Strong communication skills and ability to clearly communicate message to internal and external clients
· Ability to complete tasks and produce deliverables independently
Required Experience
· Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, interior architecture, interior design, or planning
· 2 to 5 years of previous experience in an architectural or planning practice
· Basic knowledge of design and building construction experience is a plus; we specialize in pre-project planning
