Spring Series
“Preservation On-Site with the HRC”
For 2023, the Historic Resources Committee will be bringing you TO the places being preserved in Houston as a followup to last year’s varied perspectives on HOW Preservation is being practiced in our city. At each tour / site visit we will explore a specific issue related to Historic Preservation and enjoy a unique experience touring a historic building with the people who have or or working to improve and preserve it.
“Preservation Perspectives”
For the 2022 Speaker Series we explored the breadth and depth of Historic Preservation in Houston with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary nature of the field. We have invited speakers from different professional backgrounds to share their experiences and contributions to the work of Historic Preservation in Houston.
“2021 Speaker Series”
The goal of the 2021 series is to promote exceptional historic preservation, adaptive reuse projects, lessons learned, and innovative strategies.
[Because we were unable to meet in person, all lectures were held virtually with presenters speaking from across Texas and across the country.]
