Morning Keynote:

Confronting Climate Change by Daniel Cohan, Rice University

Climate change is rapidly changing the conditions and risks faced by people and buildings in the Gulf coast and beyond. Buildings and their energy use play an important role in greenhouse gas emissions and opportunities to mitigate climate change. This keynote address will discuss what it will take to confront climate change and the potential role of architects in those efforts. It will draw on lessons from the speaker’s book, Confronting Climate Gridlock, and other research.
