SUMMARY:Inside the Lines
DESCRIPTION:Come play Inside the Lines! \nJoin Kids+Archtiecture for a unique 2-hour workshop where students will have the opportunity to explore doodling and watercolor techniques and step onto the court to practice their tennis swing. \nImmersed in Memorial Park\, students will create an Architectural Art Journal by honing their observation skills\, developing their creativity\, and learn how to slow down and record their experiences using watercolor and pattern making. \nStudents will also be able to step onto the tennis court\, where they will be introduced to the fundamentals of tennis\, including some fun drills. Beginners are welcome. \nAdditional Information about the class: \n\nStudents will be split into two groups and rotate between the two activities.\nThis is an outdoor class that will include physical activity if you chose to participate in the tennis portion\, so please dress appropriately\nThis event is perfect for students aged 7-12\nAll materials will be provided but students can choose to bring their own materials or tennis racket.  Students are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. Snacks and bottled water will be available for registered students.\nParking options include metered street parking\, and some free street parking can be found in the area.\nParents are welcome to stay or leave and return before noon for pickup.\n\nPlease plan to arrive early to allow time to park and check-in. Class will conclude at noon. We encourage family and friends to explore the park and surrounding areas after class. \nThis event is generously sponsored by the Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
