DESCRIPTION:Wood Rot Repair Workshop – Windows\, Doors & More \nPresented by the AIA Houston Historic Resources Committee\nIn partnership with Luckie’s Pocket \n      \nSpace is Limited to 16 participants  \n  \nAbout the Workshop \nStep inside a piece of Houston’s history for a hands-on\, two-day Wood Rot Repair Workshop focused on repairing wood rot with traditional patching methods. \nHosted at the 1919 historic Luckie School\, this workshop is a rare opportunity to gain preservation skills in an active rehabilitation setting. The Luckie School—currently being reimagined as Luckie’s Pocket\, a future community arts space—serves as the perfect backdrop for exploring time-tested techniques in material conservation. \nLed by experts from Preservan\, attendees will work in small groups to learn and practice traditional wood repair methods essential for preserving historic structures.
